Having a conversation with the others is very much like reading a book that records an individual and encompasses their experiences and beliefs.
Simply by exchanging dialogues, these stories, experiences and beliefs would quietly seep into each other’s life. In the process of observing their differences and reflecting on their similarities, a unique identity of “Me” is shaped and built.
Five students of the Hong Kong Art School’s Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme* - each having invited and communicated with a renowned artist - hope to seek inspirations or creative directions with the act of “reflect and refract”.
與他人傾談交流，就如閱讀著一本有關彼此的書，當中記錄了個人和周遭的故事，也滲透著各自的經驗和信念；傾談過後，這些故事、經驗和信念就悄悄地流進我們彼此的生活，成為彼此生命的一部份。
這是一個與他者對照的過程，我們從中看見自己與他人的異同，再經交集、磨合、過濾後，慢慢塑造出一個獨一無二的「我」。
為了把這對照的過程帶進創作中，五位香港藝術學院藝術文學士課程*的學生，各自邀請了一位自己感興趣的著名藝術家，與他們分別進行交流，希望從「對照」中啟發他們找到屬於自己創作的方向。
